Dr. William Rivers
Associate Professor
English
Dr. Rivers has taught a variety of classes
at the College since 1988. He won the
Teacher of the Year Award, and honors
students have used research papers developed
in his class to win many awards and
scholarships for writing and presentation
skills at the National Honor Society, Alpha
Chi.
His research interests include
psycholinguistics and writing pedagogy,
intercultural communication and business,
new media, and new technologies in
communication. He does consulting work with
companies such as Du Pont, MBNA (now BoA),
Gore, and Bank One.
