Dr. Patricia M. Buhler
Professor
Management
Patricia (Pat) Buhler is a Professor of
Management at Goldey-Beacom College. She
first started teaching management in 1989.
Pat holds a SHRM Delaware State Council
Director position and is the faculty
co-advisor to the college SHRM student
chapter. She has published over 170 business
articles and three books: Teach Yourself
Management in 24 Hours, Human
Resource Management: All the Information You
Need to Manage Your Staff and Meet Your
Business Objectives, and The
Employee Satisfaction Revolution.
Pat's teaching philosophy emphasizes the
application of concepts (versus rote
memorization). The ability to actually apply
the concepts being studied is the focus. She
embraces the new paradigm in education that
states it is the professor's responsibility
to teach students how to think - rather than
what to think.
