GBC Student Account/Resources

A student account is created for each student prior to the start of their education at Goldey-Beacom College (GBC).  Students are emailed their username and password to the email address submitted on their application to the College.  Usernames and passwords may also be obtained from a lab assistant in the Academic Computing Center.  This account gives access to GBC Email, Campus Web, and gbcALERT and is available for use throughout the student's entire college career at GBC.  Accounts are closed approximately six months after the last semester of attendance.  If the student is receiving financial aid, the Financial Aid/Advisement Office will give the student a username and password for NetPartner.

gbcMAIL

An email account is established for every new student prior to the beginning of each session.  Students can access the GBC mail server using the URL of https://mail01.gbc.edu/exchange Email serves as the official means of sending information to students by faculty and staff.  These messages are sent to the GBC email address.  Using GBC Email helps ensure that students receive prompt service.  Please refer to the policies on the required use of the GBC email account.  Outlook web displays an error message of 'Page not found' and will not open email messages which contain excessive punctuation in the subject line.  See the FAQs for information on how to work around this problem.  For other account questions/problems, please call the Academic Computing Center at 302-225-6277 or stop by the Center to speak with a lab assistant.

Campus Web

A comprehensive portal solution provides students with access to the College's learning management software (LMS), student schedules, course offerings, grade reports, unofficial transcripts, aims (majors) with a complete listing of requirements met and unmet, student finances, online payments, and more.  The LMS feature gives students access to course syllabi, handouts, and assignments, to email classmates and faculty, to take tests, and to see course-related grades.  Current classes are listed in the 'My Courses' quick link (left menu) 14 days prior to the start of class until 14 days after the end of the class.  Students should explore the different tabs within the Campus Web portal which also contain many library and technology resource links as well as general announcements.  Access the portal at the URL of https://campusweb.gbc.edu/ics.  For other general questions about using Campus Web, please call the Academic Computing Center at 302-225-6277 or stop by the Center to speak with a lab assistant.

Net Partner

This site allows students to access financial aid data including the status of the student's financial aid package for a particular academic year, the amounts of individual financial aid awards, and information on loan disbursements and loan history. The username and password for this system is provided by the student's advisor in the GBC FA/Advisement Office.  Students may access Net Partner using the URL of https://campusweb.gbc.edu/netpartnerstudent

gbcALERT

gbcALERT is used to notify students about emergencies, weather cancellations/delays, and other updates through text messaging and/or email. Students are automatically enrolled to receive messages in their GBC email.  Students should login to the site to confirm their contact information and add additional email addresses or cell phone information for text messages. The service is aimed at improving safety on campus and enables the College to provide a rapid delivery method for important messages.
